This country home located outside the village of Stittsville was built in the 90s. The cherrywood kitchen was a beautifully crafted u-shape kitchen with a raised bar area and has now been redesigned to include a raised bar area and an island. The homeowners still enjoy their traditional style of home and wanted to re-use the existing cherrywood cabinet doors where possible. While maintaining a traditional style, the kitchen cabinets will now be a mix of white with a slight glazed finish, and cherrywood. The upper cabinets had an existing crown moulding which was altered to include a sculpted wood moulding to make the crown stand out even more. A black granite countertop was selected for the island with a lighter granite on the perimeter wall cabinets, with a matching granite backsplash. The new cherrywood-finished island includes a sink and turned corner posts and will be the centerpiece of the kitchen.
PLEASE NOTE: Construction on this project is still in progress BUT Check out this webpage later in October for the opportunity to Walk Through the New Kitchen!
